TRAVEL, LODGING & FOOD 

What are the lodging accommodations in the area? 

The following hotels are in close proximity to the event venue:

  • Courtyard Marriott, 4105 West SR 89A. Located across the street from the event venue, within walking distance.
  • Sedona Summit, 4055 Navoti Drive. Approx 0.5 miles from the event venue.
  • The Wildes Resort & Spa, 2250 West SR 89A. Approx 0.6 miles from the event venue.
  • The Greentree Inn. 2991 West SR 89A. Approx 1.3 miles from the event venue.
  • The Arroyo Pinion Hotel, 3119 West SR 89A. Approx 1.5 miles from the event venue.

AirBNB and vacation rentals are also an option in the Sedona area.

We suggest selecting accommodations in West Sedona to avoid traffic congestion.  March is the high season for tourism, causing heavy traffic on State Route 179, which runs from Interstate Highway 17 through the Village of Oak Creek and into the Uptown Sedona area.

You may also consider accommodations in Cottonwood, located about 15 miles west of Sedona, for reduced rates and availability. Traffic on State Route 89A between the event venue and Cottonwood is usually light, making for an easy commute.

What is the best option for air travel? Phoenix International Airport is the primary airport for the area. There are also regional airports in Prescott and Flagstaff. It is about a two-hour drive from Phoenix to Sedona. We suggest that you get a rental vehicle rather than use a shuttle service to get to Sedona because there are limited options for ride-share transportation in Sedona.

Is Ride Share or Taxi Service Available in Sedona? Yes. Ride-sharing with Uber or Lyft is an option in Sedona, but service is limited, and wait times can be long. As an alternative, you may want to consider using a taxi service. Booking a taxi in advance is the best option to ensure your preferred arrival time at the event venue.

What are the food options during the event? Beverages, coffee, and light meals, including vegetarian options, will be available for purchase at a cafe kiosk inside the event venue. Food is allowed in the exhibit hall and outdoor areas. Please do not take food into the theater. 

  • There are several restaurants and a Whole Foods grocery store on State Route 89A near the event venue.

What is the typical weather in March? The average temperature is a high of 65°F, with morning temperatures 10-15°F lower. Thunderstorms and rain are not unusual. So be prepared for rain and wind for any outdoor activities.

OUTDOOR JOURNEY AND WORKSHOP ENROLLMENT

Do I need to enroll in the Workshop and Outdoor Journey sessions I want to attend? Yes. Enrollment is required to ensure that you have a reserved seat for the session you want to attend. Please use the Sched app to complete your enrollment.

  • Workshops and Outdoor Journeys have a limited number of seats. Please enroll as soon as possible to ensure you can attend the sessions you want. Workshop and Outdoor Journey enrollment is not confirmed until it is listed on the My Schedule tab in the Sched app.

Am I required to sign a liability waiver. Yes. Guests participating in an Outdoor Journey are required to sign a Liability Waiver. The online waiver is available on the Sched app or READ & SIGN HERE by clicking on this link Online Liability Waiver.

CREATING YOUR SCHEDULE ON THE SCHED APP 

How do I use the Sched App to create my personalized event schedule?

  1. When you purchase an event pass, you will receive an email with the subject line “Welcome to Sched” that has important information about how to create a profile and enroll in the sessions you want to attend using the Sched app. Please be sure to check your spam folder for any Sched emails you may have missed.
  2. You will also receive an email from Sched with the subject line "You're Invited To Sedona Ascension Retreat." Open the email and follow the instructions to "Create Your Profile + Schedule," which includes creating a password.
  3. Once you have a Sched profile, follow the prompts to access the event schedule and select the sessions you want to attend. The sessions you select will automatically be added to the My Schedule tab, confirming your enrollment.

Can I change my session selections? Yes. To delete a session, go to the My Schedule tab and unselect the session you do not want to attend. To add a session, go to the Event Schedule tab and select the session you want to attend. Then check the MySchedule tab to confirm enrollment.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. EVENT PASSES AND TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE but may be transferred to another person or applied as a credit toward a future Suzanne Ross Retreats event.”

ATTENDING THE EVENT

Where is the event venue located? The event is being held at the Sedona Performing Arts Center, situated within the Sedona High School complex at 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road.

Is there parking at the event venue? Yes. The event venue has free on-site parking. The entrance to the parking lot is approx .25 miles after you turn onto Red Rock Loop Road from State Route 89A.

When does event registration start? Event registration begins at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026. Event staff will be available to assist with registration and guest services throughout the event.

What is the seating like for the Main Stage presentation? Main Stage presentations will be held in the theater, which has tiered cushioned seats. Seating is first-come, first-served. Please give yourself time to get seated before the presentations start to minimize disruptions.

Where are the workshop rooms located? The workshop rooms are in an adjacent building, just a short walk from the event venue entrance.

Is video recording of presentations permitted? No. Attendees will not be permitted to film or record any of the event presentations, including workshops and main stage presentations. An Event Video Pass ticket provides access to a recording of all Main Stage presentations.

Are there age-appropriate guidelines for this event? Yes. This event is geared toward an adult audience over the age of 18. Due to the nature, content, and duration of presentations, which may include silent meditation, we do not recommend this event for children. Any children under 18 attending the event must have an event pass and be accompanied by a parent at all times.

Can I bring my pet inside the event venue? No. The Sedona Performing Arts Center does not allow animals in its facilities, with the exception of registered service animals.

Is there a storage area for food or personal items at the event venue? No. Please plan to leave any food or personal items not carried on your person at your hotel or other lodging.
