Frequently Asked Questions
Lodging, Travel, and Food
What are hotel accommodations in the area? You can find a list of suggested accommodations at the end of the Schedule of Events page. Click Here
We suggest selecting accommodations located along HWY 89A West (West Sedona) within 5 miles of the Sedona Performing Arts Center. March is the high season for tourism in the area, causing heavy traffic on AZ-179 coming into Sedona and in and around the downtown area.
You may also consider accommodations in Cottonwood, located about 15 miles west of Sedona. Traffic on HWY 89A West between the west end of Sedona and Cottonwood is usually light, even during the high season.
What is the best option for air travel? Phoenix International Airport is the primary airport for the area. There are also regional airports in Prescott and Flagstaff. It is about a two-hour drive from Phoenix to Sedona. We suggest that you get a rental vehicle rather than use a shuttle service to get to Sedona because there are limited options for ride-share transportation in Sedona.
What is the typical weather in March? The average temperature is a high of 65°F, with morning temperatures 10-15°F lower. Thunderstorms and rain are not unusual. So be prepared for rain and wind for any outdoor activities.
What are the food options during the event? There will be a food vendor inside the event venue offering beverages, coffee, and light meals, including vegetarian options, throughout the event. There will also be food trucks onsite during the lunch breaks. Food is allowed in the main exhibit hall but not in the theater.
There are several restaurants within a short drive from the event venue and some grocery stores, including Whole Foods, on HWY 89A.
